Why Should I Attend?
Our Easter services are Christ-centred, healing, uplifting, etc., designed to bring each person closer to God.
They are designed for people of all faiths, including many Christian denominations to attend.
Curious or Unsure?
All are welcome to both attend and participate in any of our Easter Services, including the Holy Communion on Maundy Thursday.
Visitors are most welcomed, including children.
There are neither restrictions or prerequisites for attendance.
Come and visit us to find out for yourself. We'd love to see you during Easter.
Palm Sunday
Palm Sunday is the commemoration of the triumphal entry of Jesus to Jerusalem on a donkey the Sunday before he was crucified.
It will be celebrated on Sunday 13th April in 2025.
The services start at 10am sharp. Please arrive to be seated ten minutes prior.
This Services is similar to our regular Sunday Divine Services, except the Church runs a special edition of the service to celebrate the day.. Extra prayers and readings are also done.
It's a celebratory day so the service is very uplifting and joyful.
Flowers will be read (please bring a small cut flower).
The Service is followed by a light morning tea. You are welcome to join us.
Maundy Thursday
The Church holds a Holy Communion service on the Thursday before Good Friday, known as Maundy Thursday.
It will be held on Thursday 17th April in 2025.
The service starts at 6pm sharp. Please arrive to be seated ten minutes prior.
N.B. Allow extra time to find parking.
The Holy Communion service commemorates the Last Supper held by Jesus with his disciples the night before he was crucified.
Flowers are not read at this service.
All can attend and participate in this service.
The Service is followed by a plain supper.
Good Friday
The Church's Good Friday Service will be held on Friday 18th April in 2025.
The service starts at 2:30m sharp. Please arrive to be seated ten minutes prior.
This service is held to celebrate the completion of Jesus' earthly life and His anchoring of the Christ onto the earthplane.
It is a very respectful service, preparing the way for the joy of the resurrection on Easter Sunday.
Many people come to the service as it is an essential part of the Easter season.
The service is relatively short (45 minutes or so) so people can go afterwards to continue their Easter preparations.
Flowers are not read on Good Friday.
Easter Sunday
The Church's Easter Sunday Service will be celebrated on Sunday 20th April in 2025.
The service starts at 10am sharp. Please arrive to be seated ten minutes prior.
The Service is held to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday morning, three days after He was crucified. There are extra readings and prayers to mark this event.
It is a most joyful service with uplifting hymns, readings, etc.
This is one of the most popular and loved services of the Church year.
Flowers will be read (please bring a small cut flower).
The Service is followed by a light morning tea. You are welcome to join us.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who Runs The Services?
The spiritual components of services are given by a Minister and/or an experienced medium.
A chairman is normally present who manages the service's proceedings.
Do You Use Prayer?
Yes. Prayers are said prior, at the start, during and at end of the service. Our temple is Bible based within a spiritual understanding.
We work within the Cosmic Christ Light (the universal light of all creation) to endeavour that all who attend can experience Divine Love and Peace.
Do You Use Protection?
Yes. Prayers of protection are used prior, during and at the end of each service.
How Much Does It Cost?
The Church operates on a “free-will” offering (donation) basis.
There is no fixed fee charged at the Church.
This is to enable anyone to attend services and any other activity held by the Church.
No collection is taken at the Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services in Easter.
How Can I Pay?
We take payment in either cash or EFT.
You can pay on the day by EFT (bank transfer using PayID) from your smart phone. Instructions are available at the door or here.
We are hoping to have a Tap & Go system in place sometime in 2024.
Where Can I Park? Is It Free?
There is free parking at the rear of the Church and limited parking on the front paved hard-stand.
You can also park on Stirling Street most days.
Some parts of Harold Street are paid parking.
Do You Accept Donations?
Yes. The Church is an incorporated, tax exempt non-profit association, registered both in WA and with the Federal ACNC and the ATO.
The Church gratefully receives any donations that are made.
Donations can be made in cash, cheque or by EFT (please advise us so we can issue a receipt).
We will issue a receipt for each donation kindly received. Please ask for more details.
Please note that we do not have Deductible Gift Recipient status with the ATO (donations to churches are not tax deductible).
How Is My Money Used?
None of the ministers or Church executive are paid for their services. It is all done on a volunteer basis.
All monies received go towards both the running of the Church and the upkeep of the Church building and grounds.
Can Children Attend?
Yes. Children (under 18) are welcome and can attend a service, providing that a parent or guardian is present with them at all times whilst on the premises.
However, they have to be 14 years or older to have a flower read on their behalf.
