Open Circles / Groups
What Is An Open Circle?
A circle, in Spiritualism, is where meditation and instruction takes place, depending on the needs of that circle.
We run two circles each week: Monday nights and Wednesday mornings (see below for details).
These circles are open circles (anyone can attend), known henceforth as a circle.
Some people also call these circles groups or development groups.
Those who attend are known as "sitters".
The aim of the Circle is to assist those who attend to "progress on their spiritual path" (hence the Church's name).
We wish for people to be able to safely develop their spiritual gifts, in accordance with God's will.
A properly formed meditation circle will assist sitters in their spiritual development.
What Happens In A Circle?
These circles are run as either a meditation or discussion of subjects concerned with our philosophy.
• A meditation consists of a guided meditation followed by a discussion of what was experienced and, possibly, overheads.
• A discussion is where the selected topic is presented by the leader followed by an open discussion. Some of the subjects discussed include protection, healing and guidance for both our spiritual & earthly journeys. The discussion is normally followed by flower reading practice.
Please note that no private readings are given in this temple.

Why Attend Our Circles?
The aim of these circles is to assist those attending to move forward along their spiritual pathway so that personally they can benefit.
All people attending too can be vessels to assist others in the circle so that they too can feel at home and enjoy the experience.
Who Attends Our Circles?
All are welcome to attend.
We have had people attend circles from: all the major faiths, many Christian denominations, those "on the spiritual path", etc.
We welcome all to our circles and make every effort to help those who join us to understand what we are about and how we can be of assistance to them.
Is Experience Needed?
No. No prior experience is necessary. Any new sitter is introduced and made aware of some general rules. Newcomers are treated with understanding and kindness!
Must I Attend Every Week?
No. We recognise that some people cannot attend every week due to work, personal responsibilities, etc.
What Rules Do I Need To Know?
We just ask that you agree to abide by the rules of the temple. We endeavour to accept all points of view and ask that all "agree to disagree agreeably" if there are differences in understanding. So we ask that all is done in a spirit of Divine Love and Peace.

All monies received go towards both the running of the Church and the upkeep of the Church building and grounds.
Can Children Attend?
Children under 18 are unlikely to be ready to attend circles. Please speak first to a Minister about this.
Children need to be supervised at all times. Therefore it's not possible for a parent to sit in the circle and mind their child at the same time.
